Energy -- The Capacity for Vigorous Activity...


So what happened to my energy? At age 61, I still have the desire for vigorous activity, but what happened to the capacity? Could it be because of all the various forms of food and liquid that I have taken into my body over those 61 years?

Why is it that I can’t seem to keep up with my two great-grandsons? We all have the same features, but for some reason, they move faster and more often than me.

When did I start deteriorating? I think it was when I quit participating – softball, swimming, bowling. Now it’s camping and fishing – not quite as vigorous.



Some would say that aging is the culprit. I say “baloney”…age is just a number. I am physically stronger than both of my great-grandsons; therefore, I should have more energy. Since I don’t, then energy must be measured by time – short term and long term. Short term energy is what I exert while my great-grandkids exert long term energy – the difference being my 5-minute spurts and their all-day capacity for energy.

Since they have not taken in anywhere near the same amount of food and liquid into their body, I am convinced that food and liquids are the culprits! What we eat and drink over the years are the reasons our body starts aging and deteriorating. In addition, what we don’t eat and drink are also equally contributing factors.
